Go Thap special national monument is an area of many small mounds located on a wide mound of land, stretching over the territory of My Hoa and Tan Kieu communes, Thap Muoi district, Dong Thap province. Go Thap relic was determined by archaeologists to be a small nation of Funan kingdom. Go Thap also has "golden history" in the fight to protect the country. It was the "headquarters" of the two national heroes Thien Ho Vo Duy Duong and Doc Binh Nguyen Tan Kieu in the struggle against the French colonialists in 1862 - 1866. After 1945, Go Thap was "Red address" of the anti-French resistance war. This place was chosen by the Party Committee and the Southern Administrative Resistance Committee as the base of resistance from 1946 to 1949. In the war against the US to save the country, Go Thap was also a place to mark the glorious victory to defeat Thap Muoi.
